Riyadh Cement, SEC Signs Agreement for liquid fuel displacement Project

Riyadh Cement Company, Saudi Arabia announces the signing of an agreement with the National Electricity Transmission Company (a subsidiary of Saudi Electricity Company) to implement a project for the construction of an electricity transmission station aimed at providing electrical service to the company’s plant located in Nisah dist.

The Substation will have a load capacity of 92.2 MVA, as part of the Liquid Fuel Substitution Program, in accordance with the signed agreement, which is valid until 31/12/2025 or until the completion of the project.

This agreement is an extension of the efforts of the energy system and the Industrial & mining sector to achieve the objectives of liquid fuel displacement.

The project will contribute to reducing emissions from electricity generation within the company’s facilities and increasing the operational reliability of the Electrical grid without a material financial impact on the company.
