ACWA Power Company announces the signing of a water purchase agreement for the ~410,000 m3/day Independent Water Plant (IWP) at Hamriyah, Emirate of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
The WPA has been signed between Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority and Hamriyah Developer Holding Company, 45% owned by ACWA Power.
The value of the contract is SAR 2.56 billion (US$ 0.68 billion).
Project Scope of Work includes the Development, design, financing, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, completion, testing, ownership, operation, maintenance, and insurance of ~410,000 m3/day IWP at Hamriyah Sharjah.
The Commercial Operation Dates (PCOD) expected by the Second quarter of 2028 and duration of the contract is 30 years.
