Saudi Arabia announces Qualified Bidders for New Abha International Airport Project

The Saudi Civil Aviation Holding Company (MATARAT) and Aseer Region Development Authority in collaboration with the National Center for Privatization & PPP (NCP), announces the names of the qualified Bidders for the Abha International Airport Project located in Abha City.

Following are the (4) qualified consortiums / companies:

  • Consortium of MADA Holding International and TAV Havalimanlari Holding A.S.
  • Consortium of vision international investment and ASYAD holding and daa international limited
  • GMR Airports Limited
  • Consortium of Skilled Engineers Contracting and Limak Insaat Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.S and Incheon International Airport Corporation and Dar Al-Handasah Consultants (Shair and Partners) and Obermeyer Middle East GmbH

The Project is a Public Private Partnership (“PPP”) initiative intended to meet the objectives from the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 Plan. In addition the Project is also intended to align with all relevant major national strategies, specific to the National Transportation and Logistics Strategy, National Aviation Strategy and Aseer Economic Development Strategy.

The Project will be awarded on Build-Transfer-Operate (BTO) model.

The primary agreement that will be entered between the MATARAT and the Project Company for a period of 30 years and covering the obligations of the Project Company for the design, financing, build and operation of Abha Airport.
