Oman National Engineering & Investment Company SAOG (ONEIC) announced in a statement that it has awarded a contract related to smart electricity meters.
The value of the contract is OMR 16 million.
The contract was awarded by Nama Electricity Distribution Company SAOC.
Contract includes supply and operation of smart electricity meter and headend system for a period of 54 months.
The Company express its appreciation to Nama Electricity Distribution Company for giving the opportunity. This contract comes as part of Omani initiatives towards E-Government and implementation of smart cities in line with Vision 2040. The Contract comes as part of company’s strategic move towards localization of smart cities technologies.
