Elsewedy Electric, Siemens Energy awarded 1,200 MW Rabigh Combined Cycle Power Plant

Elsewedy Electric PSP has been awarded the turnkey EPC contract for the Rabigh Combined Cycle Power Plant by Saudi Electricity Company (SEC).

The value of the contract is over USD 1 billion.

In partnership with SiemensEnergy, the company will add an additional 1.2 GW to the national grid, capable of supplying power to approximately 500,000 residential units annually.

Rabigh is located around 150km from Jeddah in western region of Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) earlier announces that the Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) approved SEC to implement the expansion project of Rabigh combined cycle power plant by an additional 1.2GW combined cycle units. (read more)
