Chemanol Signs Technical Licensing Agreement for MethylDiethanolamine

Methanol Chemicals Company (Chemanol) announces that it has recently signed a Technical Licensing Agreement with a foreign company that owns the technology to produce MethylDiethanolamine (MDEA).

The production capacity of the project which initial operation is expected to commence during the fourth quarter of 2027 is 25 thousand metric tons per year.

MethylDiethanolamine (MDEA) and its specialized compounds are used in many vital and strategic industries such as oil & gas Industry, extraction of environmental harmful gases and carbon capture and storage technologies.

The project aims to enhance the local production of specialized Chemicals, and reduce dependence on imports, specifically in the oil and gas sector.
