China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC) announces that it has signed a 6.98-billion-yuan ($972 million) contract to build a 2-gigawatt, Haden photovoltaic power station in Saudi Arabia.
The engineering, procurement, and construction contract was signed by a consortium formed by the company with Buraiq Renewable Energy, a project company established by Saudi Power International Power and Water, Saudi Public Investment Fund, and Saudi Aramco.
The Project is located about 93km from Taif City in Western Province.
The Project Construction is expected to take 31 months.
Earlier, during June 2024, the consortium signs the Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) for three new solar photovoltaic projects. (read more)
