Zakat Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA), Saudi Arabia in collaboration with the National Center for Privatization & PPP (NCP), is announces the launch of the development of hybrid power plant at Empty Quarter (Rub’al Khali) land port, which aims to minimize use of diesel fuel by using renewable energy and fulfil long term power supply needs at the Empty Quarter land port through a PPP model inline with Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
Project Scope of Work includes:
- Design and develop power generation facility in accordance with ZATCA’s defined electricity demand at EQ land port and minimum technical requirements and output specifications.
- Operate and maintain the power generation facility for a defined term of the Project in accordance with the minimum technical requirements and output specifications specified by ZATCA.
- Power generation and distribution up to the ZATCA interface point.
- Arranging of relevant permits and necessary approvals for the construction and operation of the Plant.
The contract type is Design – Build – Finance – Operate – Maintain – Transfer (DBFOMT) and the duration will cover construction period and 25 years of operations and maintenance period.
