China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd (Energy China) announces that CEEIC signed an Investment and Development Agreement with JSG Saudi Company forthe Brine Comprehensive Processing Project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Wu Licheng, Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of CEEIC, and Wen Haiquan, Chairman of JSG Saudi Company, attended and witnessed the signing ceremony.
This project represents CEEIC’s beneficial efforts to actively implement the “Belt and Road” initiative, to deeply align with Saudi Arabia’s “. Not only this approach meets the demand for water from daily life and industries in Saudi Arabia, but it also effectively addresses the pollution issues from brine discharge from the desalination process.
Currently, the project development has been established at the national level in Saudi Arabia, and JSG Saudi Company secures the concession to operate the project by winning the open tender, after which it signed a Joint Development Agreement with the Saline Water Conversion Corporation.
The signing of this Investment and Development Agreement marks another significant achievement for CEEIC in thoroughly implementing Energy China’s “Several Opinions”, the “Four New” Energy China strategy, the spirit of the 2024 annual work conference, the “1331” strategy, and its active pursuit of strategic opportunities. It also makes another major breakthrough in actively practicing the “Innovation-lead Transformation in Three Aspects”, exploring new fields and new tracks, and forming new dynamics and advantages. Moving forward, CEEIC will fully leverage the full industrial chain advantages of Energy China, adhere to the four major investment concepts of “Value Investment, Full Life Cycle Investment, Rational Investment, High Quality Investment”, and make full use of its role as a flagship, platform, engine, leader, and lever. CEEIC will organize a strong task force, meticulously plan and deploy, fully implement cooperation conditions, accelerate with subsequent works, and strive to make the project happen as soon as possible.
