The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, Oman signed agreements for development and partnership within the framework of Sultan Haitham City’s first phase (2024 – 2030).
Inked at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, the agreements mark the Ministry’s celebration of the first anniversary of inauguration of Sultan Haitham City on 31 May 2023 at Bait Al Barakah Palace under the patronage of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.
The agreements covered two segments: “Design and Management” and “Construction”.
In the first segment, the first agreement was signed with Ibn Khaldun Company to prepare detailed structural engineering maps for 3 school complexes. The second agreement was also signed with Ibn Khaldun Company to prepare detailed structural engineering maps for a rehabilitation centre. The third agreement was signed with Razeen Company to prepare detailed structural engineering maps for the establishment of a cultural centre.
In the second segment (construction augment), an agreement was signed with Strabag Oman Company to construct 5 bridges, and another was signed with Oman International Holding Company to design and establish the city’s central experiment and control centre.
Also, a tripartite agreement was signed by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, Al-Abrar Real Estate Company and Oman Housing Bank to provide financing programmes for those wishing to purchase residential units in the Sultan Haitham City.
