Masdar, UAE announced in a statement that it has signed a roadmap with Ethiopia to deliver up to 500MW solar projects in the East African nation, as part of Etihad 7 UAE program.
During his visit to Ethiopia, UAE President, HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, HE Dr Abiy Ahmed, Prime Minister of Ethiopia, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court witnessed the agreement signing.
The roadmap agreement was signed by HE Dr Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, COP28 UAE President-Designate and Chairman of Masdar, and Ahmed Shide, Ethiopian Minister of Finance.
