Dubai Electricity & Water Authority P.J.S.C. (DEWA) announces the appointment of advisors for the 120 million imperial gallons per day (MIGD) Project in Hassyan.
DEWA appointed a consortium of companies, including Deloitte, WSP and Addleshaw Goddard, to provide consultancy services.
Earlier during August 2022, DEWA requested Expression of Interest (EOI) from the Developers. (read more)
The proposed plant shall have an aggregate capacity of 120 MIGD, with an alternative proposal for an aggregate capacity of 180 MIGD, located within the Hassyan area on the Arabian Gulf coast in Dubai, approximately 55 km to the south west of the Dubai Creek.
The water generated by the Project will be purchased by DEWA under a long-term Water Purchase Agreement (WPA).
The Project will be commissioned in phases by 2025-2026.
