Civil & Electrical Projects Contracting Company (CEPCO), Saudi Arabia announced in a statement that it has signed a contract agreement with Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) and its first strategic business in terms of complete Engineering Design, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM) along with Extension of substation.
It is the first 33kV STATCOM tender floated by Saudi Electricity Company to Saudi EPC Companies.
The contracts are to Supply Mobile STATCOM at the following projects:
- Installation of MOBILE STATCOM AT UGLAT AL SQOOR S/S # 8806 & AT MISKAH S/S # 8804
- Installation of MOBILE STATCOM at Taimah 132 kV SS
- Installation of MOBILE STATCOM at Madinah, Yanbu & Taif SS
The Major equipment/ material in this project includes, 20MVAR, 33kV & 13.8kV Mobile STATCOM, 33kV & 13.8kV MV Switchgear, Grounding Transformer, Auxiliary, RMU’s, Control Relay Protection system, SCADA/SOE/DSM/TFR, Telecommunication, Civil Works, ACDC & DCDB System, Fire Fighting, HVAC, Basic Cyber security
The final acceptance of the work completion is 16 Months.
