CEPCO announced in a statement that it has successfully completed the design, supply installation, testing & commission of 132kV underground cable circuit, with Aluminum conductor, first of kind in KSA network, on 26 February 2022.
The Project consisting of three Single Core 2000 Sq.mm, XLPE Al cable with metallic shield copper wire and copper tape laid between the Substation 8288 and existing Substation 8179 complete with all required link boxes, SVL’s, Joints, GIS termination and other accessories with length 4.7km under the project name ‘Connection of Substation 8288 with 132kV network in Al- Nadheem Area, Contract No: 4400010261’.
For this project, 132kV cable was supplied by Jeddah cables Co., KSA and Cable accessories by Pfisterer, Switzerland.
On this occasion CEPCO’s management convey special and cordial thanks to Eng. Ibrahim Mohammed I Alkhenizan, Executive Vice President, Distribution and customer services (Acting), Saudi Electricity Company, for his continuous support to execute this first pilot project in SEC 132kV network.
Moreover M/s Cepco conveys its gratitude to Eng. Mahdi Naser Al Dosari, Chief Executive Officer Projects Development (Saudi Electricity company ) without his strong encouragement and support this project would not have been completed and handed over to SEC.
