Energy China Hunan Thermal Power and China Machinery Engineering Corporation ( EPC general contractor) announced in a statement that it has formally signed a subcontracting construction contract for the Al Dhafra PV2 Solar Power Plant Project in the UAE.
The project is located in Al Dhafra, Emirate of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This project is CEEC’s first project in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, opening up a new market for CEEC’s new energy sector.
The total installed photovoltaic capacity of the project is 2,100 MW. It is the largest overseas single photovoltaic power station undertaken by Hunan Thermal Power.
The Scope of Works includes the installation and construction of the pooling station, the inverter of the whole photovoltaic plant, the installation of the box transformer and the laying of the DC cable. Work.
Once the project is in full commercial operation, the plant is expected to reduce Abu Dhabi’s CO2 emissions by more than 2.4 million metric tons per year, equivalent to removing approximately 470,000 cars from the road.
TAQA will own 40% of the Al Dhafra project, while the remaining partners Masdar, EDF Renewables and JinkoPower will have a 20% stake each.
