Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) awarded the project, construction of Afif 380kV Substation. The Project location is in Afif, central region of Saudi Arabia.
The Project has been awarded to Saudi based construction firm, Al-Babtain Contracting Company.
The value of signed contract is SAR 197 million (USD 52.5 million).
Major equipment includes, Switchgear, Protection & Control System, Substation Automation System, Telecommunication System, Security System, Cyber Security, Civil works and Electro-mechanical works. Project works also includes Installation, Testing & Commissioning of 380kV GIS, Power Transformers, Reactors supplied by SEC.
Project Scope of Work also includes 380kV GIS modifications at Mahd Al Dahb Substation along with all other required material.
The Contract is based on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new substation work.
