Al Sharif (Saudi Arabia), KEC International (India) JV awarded the project, “Construction of 380kV overhead transmission line (OHTL) between Khamis Mushait Housing Substation and Abha East Substation – Shuqaiq Substation″.
The Project was awarded by Saudi Electricity Company.
The value of the contract is SAR 225.4million.
The project involves the design and construction of 380kV OHTL to connect the Khamis Mushait Housing Substation with the network.
Approximate route length of total OHTL route is 64km. Project scope of work also includes 380kV Underground cables.
The new OHTL will be installed on latticed steel tower in vertical configuration.
Contractor scope of works includes to perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new OHTL work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
Contractor needs to achieve the final acceptance of the works by 23 months from Contract Signing Date.
