Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) announces the bid results for the project, Expansion of Shoaibah PV 380kV Substation. The Project location is in Shoaibah, western region of Saudi Arabia.
Six bidders has submitted the proposals. Saudi based construction firm, Al-Babtain Contracting Company Submitted the lowest bid.
Al-Babtain Submits the price of SAR 362.8 million (USD 96.7 million).
Project scope of work includes expansion of existing Shoaibah PV 380kV Substation. The expansion is made to interconnect the future Renewal Energy (Solar) Power Plant at Shouiba area.
Major equipment includes, 380kV GIS, 110kV GIS, 502MVA Power Transformers, Protection & Control System, Substation Automation System, Telecommunication System, Security System, Cyber Security, Civil works and Electro-mechanical works.
The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of substation work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
Project completion period is 24 months.
