Egis, the major international group in the consulting, construction engineering and mobility sectors celebrated the official inauguration of their new Headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; its largest and most expanded corporate office in the Middle East.
The company had previously established corporate offices in Jeddah and Al Khobar.
The inauguration was attended by Laurent Germain, Group CEO of Egis and His Excellency Ludovic Pouille, The Ambassador of France to Saudi Arabia. The inauguration event included a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new office followed by an invitation-only reception at the Residence of France, attended by a high-level audience including, government officials, key clients and business partners.
The opening of the Riyadh Headquarters reinforces the importance of The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the growth of Egis in the region and its investment in Saudi Vision 2030, as well as strengthens the company’s partnerships with its clients. Egis has been operating in Saudi Arabia for almost 30 years and is currently working on more than 25 projects spread across The Kingdom.
Egis is proud to be creating a new generation of leaders employing over 800 people in Saudi Arabia and is committed to supporting Saudization and knowledge transfer by recruiting, developing and retaining a highly-capable local workforce.
“The decision to invest in a new HQ office in Riyadh was a logical step as we strive to support The Kingdom’s plans to diversify the economy and invest in the country’s transformational strategies for infrastructure, transport and logistics” said Laurent Germain, CEO, Egis Group. “Some of the most ambitious programs in the world are in Saudi Arabia and it’s critical that we meet our clients’ needs with the required support that serve them most effectively”. Laurent Germain continued: “We are determined to make our contributions to the economic development of the city of Riyadh and the broader Saudi market, leveraging our global network and professional services experience. The new and expanded Egis footprint will enable us to create a cohesive service network and further strengthen our service capabilities in this region”.
At the heart of Egis’ vision is innovation and sustainability which is very much in line with the Saudi Vision 2030. This is evident in their awards of projects such as Green Riyadh which aims to plant 7.5million trees, Riyadh Metro, one of the world’s most extensive transit projects and AMAALA, the new international airport in the ultra-luxury destination located along Saudi Arabia’s northwestern coast.
His Excellency Ludovic Pouille, Ambassador of France to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia said: “The decision of Egis to open the Headquarter office in Saudi Arabia, will strengthen the ability of the Group to develop its consulting and engineering activities in The Kingdom. The Group is already very much involved in supporting the implementation of many ambitious projects of the Saudi Vision 2030.” His Excellency continued, “the decision of Egis is fully aligned with the National Investment Strategy of Saudi Arabia, which aims to make the Kingdom a world-class destination for international investors. Many reforms have already been implemented to improve the business environment and enhance The Kingdom’s competitiveness in a sustainable way.”
