Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) awarded the project, Construction of New Diriyah Gate 380/132/13.8kV Substation (9082). The Project location is in Riyadh.
The Project has been awarded to Saudi based Construction firm, Saudi Services for Electro Mechanic Works (SSEM).
The value of signed contract is SAR 526.5million (USD 140.4 million).
Project involves the construction a new indoor 380/132/13.8kV Gas Insulated Substation, named as 9082 BSP. It includes protection, control, communication and SAS/SCADA systems. The Substation consist of following major equipment:
380kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), 380kV Hybrid GIS, 132kV GIS, 13.8kV Switchgear, 302/402/502MVA, 380/132/13.8kV power transformers, 50/67MVA,132/13.8kV power transformers, 2.5MVA, 13.8kV/400V-230V Station Service Transformers, 380kV Reactors, 132kV Reactors, Power Cables and Terminations, AC/DC Auxiliary Power Supply, Surge Arresters, Control/Protection System, Substation Automation System (SAS), Communication System, Fire Detection/Alarm and Safety and Fire Protection System, Civil/Structural works and Mechanical works, HCIS Security System and tunnels.
Project Scope of Work also includes 380kV GIS expansion at 9005 BSP along with all other required material.
The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new substation work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
Contractor needs to achieve the final acceptance of the works by 25 months from Contract Signing Date.
The tender was issued by SEC during April 2021 and the bid was opened during July 2021.
