Ministry of Energy, Uzbekistan announced the bid results for the 100MW wind project.
The Project will be located in the Qorao’zak district of the Karakalpakstan region, in the northwestern part of the country.
ACWA Power, Saudi Arabia submits the lowest bid. ACWA Power Submits the price of US Cents 2.5695 per kWh.
Other bidders prices:
- Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (MASDAR), UAE : US Cents 2.6550 per kWh
- Voltalia, France : US Cents 3.2790 per kWh
Earlier, during September 2021, the ministry received three proposals.
The Project will be developed under independent power producer (IPP) model. Developer Scope of works includes the development, financing, construction and operation of the power plant and related infrastructure.
Under its renewable energy programme, Uzbekistan aims to deploy 5 GW of solar and 3 GW of wind power capacity by 2030, as it targets meeting 25 percent of electricity needs from renewable sources by that year.
