Italian firm, Rosetti Marino S.p.A. announced in a statement that it has awarded an EPCIC contract for the works on the last phase of the Gallaf project batch 3, Package 8, in Qatar.
The Project was awarded by the North Oil Company Qatar (NOC) a JV of Qatar Petroleum and Total Energies.
The value of contract is over USD 50 million.
The scope of the work includes modifications and improvements on the FA and FB platforms of the Al Shaheen field, as part of the larger Gallaf project Phase 2 – Batch 3.
These activities include detailed engineering, procurement, construction, the transport and installation at sea of a series of modules, of which the final assembly must be carried out start-up during scheduled stops of the two platforms.
The project was started by NORTH OIL COMPANY to obtain a consistent increase in Natural Gas (methane) production from the Al Shaheen field.
Rosetti Marino will develop the project partly in Italy and partly in Qatar: engineering and purchases will start from Italy and will be completed by a project team, which will be based in Doha (Qatar) compatibly with the current Italian and Qatari restrictions imposed by COVID-19, while prefabrication and construction activities of the modules will be carried out in the local construction site of the Qatari company Milaha. Offshore activities will start in the last quarter of 2022, to be completed in 2023, statement said.
