NEOM awards desalination project advisory services

NEOM, Saudi Arabia appointed the advisory Services team for a planned desalination project to be built at the NEOM development in Saudi Arabia.

The Planned capacity of the plant is 500,000 cubic meter per day (cm/d).

NEOM appoints Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) as financial advisor, Worley Parsons as technical advisor and Linklaters as legal adviser for the project.

The Project will be constructed under independent water producer (IWP) model and will utilize reverse osmosis (RO) technology.

The technical offers will be submitted by the beginning of next year. The project will be financed from credit facilities, in which local banks will participate, statement mentioned.
