Al Sharif & KEC JV submits lowest bid of $78m for Haql 380/132/13.8kV Substation

Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) announces the bid results for construction of Haql 380/132/13.8kV Substation. The Project location is in Haql, northern region of Saudi Arabia.

Eight Bidders has submitted the proposals. Al Sharif Group (Saudi Arabia), KEC International (India) JV submits the lowest bid.

The Companies has submitted the price of SAR 292.3 millions (USD 77.9 millions).

Project involves the construction a new indoor 380/132/13.8kV Gas Insulated Substation, named as Haql BSP. It includes protection, control, communication and SAS/SCADA systems.

The Substation consist of major equipment of 380kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), 380kV Hybrid GIS, 132kV GIS, 13.8kV Switchgear, 302/402/502MVA, 380/132/13.8kV power transformers, 50/67MVA,132/13.8kV power transformers, 2.5MVA, 13.8kV/400V-230V Station Service Transformers, 380kV, 80MVAR, 120MVAR Reactors, 380kV Neutral Grounding Reactors, 13.8kV, 7MVAR Capacitor Banks, Control/Protection System, Substation Automation System (SAS), Communication System, Fire Detection/Alarm and Safety and Fire Protection System, Civil/Structural works and Mechanical works, HCIS Security System and Cyber Security.

The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new substation work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.

Contractor needs to achieve the final acceptance of the works by 26 months from Contract Signing Date.
