Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) awarded the project, construction of King Salman Park 380/132/13.8kV Substation. The Project location is in Riyadh.
The Project has been awarded to Saudi based construction firm, Al-Babtain Contracting Company.
The value of signed contract is SAR 267.8 million (USD 71.4 million).

Project involves the construction a new indoor 380/132/13.8kV Gas Insulated Substation, named as 9083 BSP. It includes protection, control, communication and SAS/SCADA systems.
The Substation consist of major equipment 380kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), 380kV Hybrid GIS, 132kV GIS, 13.8kV Switchgear, 302/402/502MVA, 380/132/13.8kV power transformers, 50/67MVA,132/13.8kV power transformers, Reactors, Control/Protection System, Substation Automation System (SAS), Civil/Structural works and Mechanical works, Security System and Cyber Security System.
Project Scope of Work also includes 380kV GIS expansion at 9047 BSP along with all other required material
The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new substation work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
Contractor needs to achieve the final acceptance of the works by 27 months from Contract Signing Date
