Spanish firm, Acciona announced as part of first half of 2021 results, that it has awarded the contract related to Jubail 3B desalination plant in Saudi Arabia.
The value of the contract is €337 million (USD 400 million).
The plant will be designed using Reverse Osmosis seawater desalination technology. The design capacity of Jubail 3B IWP, desalination plant will be 570,000 m3/day.
The desalination plant will be located in Jubail area, eastern region of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Earlier, during June 2021, Saudi Arabia’s SWPC awards the Jubail 3B IWP to the consortium of Engie, NESMA, Alajlan Global (read more)
Commercial operation date of the Jubail 3B IWP will be in the first quarter of 2024.
