Saudi Arabia invites EOI for Eight Ports on PPP model

Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI) in partnership with the National Center for Privatization & PPP (NCP) announced in a statement, the initiation of the first stage of the tendering process for the award of eight (8) new multi-purpose terminal concessions across Saudi Arabia.

The terminals collectively referred to as “Mawani Priority Concessions” at eight (8) commercial and industrial ports will be developed in partnership with the private sector, an initiative of the Privatization Program that emanates from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

These Priority Concessions are intended to be a mix of Multi-Purpose / General Cargo and RoPax concessions at multiple commercial and industrial ports in the KSA.

MAWANI invited to submit an expression of interest (EOI) in respect of the potential award of Concessions. The following Priority Concessions that are to be procured as part of this process:

  • Multi-purpose terminal at King Abdul Aziz Port Dammam
  • Multi-purpose terminal at Jeddah Islamic Port
  • Multi-purpose terminal at Jazan Port
  • Multi-purpose terminal at Jubail Commercial Port
  • Multi-purpose terminal at King Fahd Industrial Port Jubail
  • Multi-purpose terminal at Ras Al Khair Port
  • Multi-purpose terminal at Yanbu Commercial Port
  • Multi-purpose terminal at King Fahd Industrial Port Yanbu

The Priority Concessions are expected to be procured under a long-term public private partnership contract using the Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) model.

Interested companies are required to submit their response latest by 28 July 2021.
