Sustainable Energy Authority (SEA), Bahrain announces the bidders prices for the Bahrain International Circuit, Formual1 Grid-Tied Solar PV car park shades Project.

International IREC Energy W.L.L , Bahrain has submitted the lowest bid. The company has submitted the price of BHD 0.023 per kWh.
Project scope of works includes Build Own Operate and Maintain (BOOM) a minimum capacity of 3 MWac grid-tied solar PV power plant car park shades at the Bahrain International Circuit for a 20-Year period Contract.
According to BIC authorities, this new project is expected to deliver enough energy to power the entire Formula 1 race weekend and support Bahrain’s commitment to increase renewable energy use in the kingdom and F1’s plan to have net zero carbon emissions by 2030.
It will help reduce the venue’s carbon footprint and generate significant savings on overall energy costs.
The tender was issued by SEA during May 2021.
