Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), Oman invites the bids for the Development of Khasab Industrial City located in Musandam Governorate.
Project scope of works includes Constructions of Roads, associated Infrastructure and Utility Works. The masterplan covers approximately 1,443,776 sqm.
As the governorate’s first industrial city, the project will add a manufacturing component to Musandam’s economic base, which is currently limited to primarily fishing, livestock farming, tourism and hospitality, local handicrafts and quarrying.
But with Port Khasab targeted for development into a commercial gateway, the governorate’s strategic location can be leveraged to attract investment in, among other areas, warehousing and logistics, mining and quarrying, fisheries and food processing, and aquaculture, say experts.
Earlier during May 2021, The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT), Oman has invited investors to submit their proposals to manage, operate and develop Port Khasab and Port Shinas (read more).
