Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) awarded the project” expansion of 380kV Substation at Khasm Al Aan, 9017 BSP”. The project location is in Riyadh.
The Project has been awarded to Saudi based construction firm, Alfanar Construction.
The value of the signed contract is SAR 114.7 million (USD 30.5 million).

Khasm Al Aan Substation expansion’s Project scope of work includes 380kV Gas Insulated Switchgear expansion, Gas Insulated Busduct, Gantry works, associated 380kVcabling. Addition/modifications of protection, control and Telecommunication will part of the project.
The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of substation work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
Contractor needs to achieve the final acceptance of the works by 25 months from Contract Signing Date.
