Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) issued the tender for construction of 132/13.8kV substations and installation of 132kV cables for the King Salman Park in Riyadh.
Four 132/13.8kV substations namely 8387, 8388, 8389, 8390 will be constructed as part of the tender.
Project scope of work includes 132kV Gas Insulated Switchgear, 67MVA Power Transformers, Medium Voltage switchgear, Capacitor Banks, Protection System, Substation Automation System, Electro-mechanical works, civil works.
In another tender, SEC invites bids for installation of 132kV Underground cable in order to connect the above new substations with the network. Total route length of the underground cable is approximately 31km.
Covering over 13 square kilometers, King Salman Park will be among the biggest city parks worldwide.
The project will also host many facilities including a royal art complex, a national theater, an opera house, art academies, museums, and galleries. Furthermore, the park will feature extensive green areas, plazas, sports compounds, and an 18-hole royal golf course.
