Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology has issued tender for consultancy services of the remaining tasks of Al Batinah Coast Highway’s first phase.
Consulting services will be provided for design and Preparation of tender document for a Link Road as Dual Carriageway from al Batina Coastal Road to the existing al Suwaiq roundabout on al Batina Highway, design and Preparation of tender document for the Main Road as Dual Carriageway from Widam al Sahil to al Suwaiq Port on Al-Batinah coastal road and Preparation of tender document for Water-Flood Mitigation for Residential Sub-Division Zone at Residential Area in Bidaiwu City, Wilayat al Suwaiq, al Batina North Governorate.
At present 17 bidders are bidding for the project.
The bids are due to be opened on June 7, after which the executive contractors’ tender will be floated. The project is expected to be awarded by the end of 2021,statement said.
Al Batinah coastal highway project figures among the vital elements of the next phase of comprehensive development along the coastal strip. It is expected to activate commercial and logistic operations and attract private sector investment in economic value-added projects that are vibrantly linked to major checkpoints in the Sultanate.
