Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) announces the bid results for the project, Installation of STATCOM at 9098 Switching station in Riyadh.
Six bidders has submitted the proposals. Saudi based construction firm, Al Gihaz Contracting Company has submitted the lowest bid.
Al Gihaz submitted the price of SAR 113.6 million (USD 30.3 million).
Project scope of work includes, Installation of one (1) No of +300 MVAR (Capacitive) and -300 MVAR (Inductive) 380kV DRPC comprising of VSC only at new Switching Station -1 BSP# 9098 in Central Region.
Installation of DRPC Transformers, Reactors, Resistors, VSC Controller, Cooling System, Switchgear, Auxiliary System, SAS, Protection, Control and all other requirements are part of the project.
Project completion period is 29 months.
