Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC), Saudi Arabia announces the prices and preferred bidder for Jubail 3B Independent Water Producer Project, Jubail 3B IWP.
The plant will be designed using Reverse Osmosis seawater desalination technology. The design capacity of Jubail 3B IWP, desalination plant will be 570,000 m3/day.
SWPC announces that the consortium of Engie, NESMA, Alajlan Global as preferred bidder. The consortium submitted Levelized Cost of SAR 1.59149/Cu.m
SWPC also announces that the consortium of Aqualia, Haji Abdullah Alireza & Co Ltd, Alfanar will be the reserved bidder. The consortium submitted Levelized Cost of SAR 1.60451/Cu.m
Earlier, during November 2020, four bidders has submitted the proposal for Jubail 3B IWP (read more)
The desalination plant will be located in Jubail area, eastern region of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Electrical Facilities for the project will be fed by 380kV Substation. As per the notification, the commercial operation of the project will be in Second Quarter of 2023.
SWPC will purchase the output and entire capacity of the project, under a Water Purchase Agreement (WPA) for a period of 25 years.
SWPC is advised by Synergy Consulting IFA Inc (Lead and Financial Adviser), DLA Piper Middle East LLP (Legal Adviser) and Atkins (Technical Adviser).
SWPC already awarded the following IWPs
- Rabigh-3 IWP having plant capacity 600,000 Cu.m per day to ACWA Power Consortium (read more)
- Shuqaiq-3 IWP having plant capacity 450,000 Cu.m per day to Marubeni Consortium (read more)
- Yanbu-4 IWP having plant capacity 450,000 Cu.m per day is awarded to Engie Consortium. (read more)
