Saudi Services for Electro Mechanic Works (SSEM) signed a EPC contract for the Construction of ArRass Solar PV 380/132kV Substation. The Project location is in Ar Rass, around 400km from Riyadh.
The value of signed contract is SAR 257 million (USD 68.5 million).
The Project was awarded by Saudi Electricity Company (SEC).

The new substation will be interconnected to the proposed Renewable Energy (Solar) Power Plant at Ar Rass.
The Planned Capacity of the Ar Rass Solar Power Plant is 700MW. REPDO already released the tender for Ar Rass Solar PV IPP.

The Substation consist of major equipment – 380kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), 132kV GIS, 302/402/502MVA, 380/110/13.8kV power transformers, 13.8kV Switchgear, 2.5MVA, 13.8kV/400V-230V Station Service Transformers, 13.8kV Grounding Transformers, Control/Protection System, Substation Automation System (SAS), Communication System, Fire Detection/Alarm & Safety and Fire Protection System, Civil/Structural works & Mechanical works, HCIS Security System.
The Contractor will perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning.
Contractor needs to achieve the final acceptance of the works by 25 months from Contract Signing Date.
