Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) issued tender for the construction of 380kV Switching Substation, 9097. The Projects locations is in Riyadh.

- 2.5MVA, 13.8kV/400V-230V Station Service Transformers
- 380kV, 120MVAR Reactors
- HV/MV Power Cables and Terminations,

- Outdoor Switching equipment
- Control/Protection System,
- Substation Automation System (SAS)
- Communication System
- Fire Detection/Alarm and Safety and Fire Protection System
- Civil/Structural works and Mechanical works
- HCIS Security System
The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new substation work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
Contractor needs to achieve the final acceptance of the works by 27 months from Contract Signing Date.
At present bid submission date is 04 February 2021.
In another tender, SEC invites bidders proposals for the installation of STATCOM at Substation 9097. Project scope of work involves, Installation of one (1) No of +300 MVAR (Capacitive) and -300 MVAR (Inductive) 380kV DRPC comprising of VSC. Bid Submission date of this project is 09 February 2021.
