Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) awarded the project “Installation of 380kV reactors at Substations 9038 and 9048”. The Project location is in Riyadh.
The project has been awarded to Saudi based construction Company, National Contracting Company (NCC).
The value of signed contract is SAR 65,320,000 (USD 17,418,666).
Project scope of work involves the major equipment – 380kV Hybrid Gas Insulated Switchgear, 380kV,80MVAR Reactors, 380kV Underground Cables, Protection and Control System modifications, Civil, Electric-Mechanical Works at 380kV substations 9038 and 9048 in Riyadh.
It includes protection, control, communication and SAS/SCADA systems. The BSP shall be equipped with IEC 61850 standards based technically and economically optimized Substation Automation System (SAS) and will be remotely controlled from the SEC Power Control Center (PCC) through SCADA and Communication.
The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of substation works in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
Contractor need to achieve the final acceptance of the work within 15 months from the date of contract signed.
