Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) awarded the project “Installation of 380kV reactors at Wadi Al Dawaser Substation”.
The Project has been awarded to Saudi based construction firm, Al-Toukhi Company for Industry, trading and Contracting,
Earlier, during July 2020, a total of eight bidders has submitted the proposals. (read more)
The contract value of the project is SAR 25 million.

Project scope of work involves the installation of two (2) 380kV Bus connected Reactors, 380kV Hybrid Gas Insulated Switchgear, 380kV Outdoor equipment, existing 380kV GIS modifications, 380kV Power Cables & accessories at the existing Wadi Ad Dawaser BSP.
It includes protection, control, communication and SAS/SCADA systems. The BSP shall be equipped with IEC 61850 standards based technically and economically optimized Substation Automation System (SAS) and will be remotely controlled from the SEC Power Control Center (PCC) through SCADA and Communication.
The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of substation works in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
Contractor need to achieve the final acceptance of the work within 17 months from the date of contract signed.
