Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) awarded the project Reinforcement of JDNW, SANABL and KAU substation”.
The Project has been awarded to Saudi based construction firm, Mohammed Al Ojaimi Contracting Est.
The contract value of the project is SAR 28.29 million.

Project scope of work involves the major equipment – 380kV-150MVAR Reactors, 380kV Underground Cables, Protection and Control System modifications, Civil, Electric-Mechanical Works at Jeddah North West, Sanabel and King Abdullah University Substations located in Jeddah, Western region of Saudi Arabia.
It includes protection, control, communication and SAS/SCADA systems. The BSP shall be equipped with IEC 61850 standards based technically and economically optimized Substation Automation System (SAS) and will be remotely controlled from the SEC Power Control Center (PCC) through SCADA and Communication.
The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of substation works in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.

Al Ojaimi also secured following contracts from Saudi Electricity Company, in Western region of Saudi Arabia:
- Installation of 380kV Reactors at Makkah West and Sea Side Substation. The value of signed contract is SAR 27.59 million.
- 110kV Underground Cable connection between ICY-6 Substation to Sanabel BSP. The value of signed contract is SAR 12.48 million.
- 110kV Substation replacement project, Jabal Al Noor. The Value of signed contract is SAR 28.83 million.
