Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) awarded the project “Construction of 380kV Double Circuit Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) between Buhairah and Tabouk/Tabarjal” in norther region of Saudi Arabia.
The Project has been awarded to Saudi based construction firm, Al Haider for Trading and Contracting (Al Haider).
The value of signed contract is SAR 57,500,000 (USD 15,333,333).
The project involves the design and construction of four (4) 380kV OHTL to connecting the Buhairah 380kV Substation and Tapping point of Tabouk/Tabarja 380kV Overhead Transmission line.
Approximate route length of 380kV OHTL is 20 km.
The project involves using of 4-795 kcmil ACSR/AW CONDOR conductor per phase and two (2) OPGW along the length of the new line.
The new OHTL will be installed on latticed steel tower in vertical configuration.
The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new OHTL work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
Another Contract:
Al Haider also secured another contract related to OHTL from Rabigh to Khulais in Western region of Saudi Arabia. The Value of signed contract is SAR 25 million.
