Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) announces the bid results for the project, construction of Rafha 380/132kV Substation.
Thirteen bidders has submitted the proposals. South Korea based construction company, Hyundai Engineering & Construction has submitted the lowest bid.
Hyundai submitted the price of SAR 266,711,250 (USD 71,123,000).
Project scope of work includes construction of new indoor 380/132kV Gas Insulated Substation. Major equipment includes, 380kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), 380kV Hybrid GIS, 502MVA Power Transformers, 13.8kV Switchgear, Reactors, Protection and Substation Automation System, AC & DC System, Telecommunication System, Civil works and Electro-mechanical works. The project location is in Rafha City, Northern region of Saudi Arabia.
Project works also includes the additions in Rafha 132kV Power Plant’s Substation.
The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of substation work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
Contractor need to complete the project activities within 29 months from the date of contract award.
