Hitachi ABB Power Grid announced in a statement that it has secured contract for the supply of a substation control and monitoring system for 33 substations in Dubai.
The Project has been awarded by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).
Project scope of work includes the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 15 new substations and the refurbishment and upgrade of 18 existing substations across Dubai.
The duration of the framework agreement is five years.
Through the framework agreement, Hitachi ABB will supply DEWA with the latest substation automation, control and protection monitoring systems (SCMS), encompassed in an advanced cybersecurity solution.
As part of the contract, Hitachi ABB Power Grids will supply MicroSCADA, the most advanced power automation solution in the market as well as the industry leading Relion family of intelligent electronic devices (IED) for the protection, control, measurement and supervision of power systems.
Hitachi ABB Power Grids’ SCMS technology is designed to increase grid reliability and safety by using a powerful set of tools to monitor and manage the power.
