Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) announces the bid results for the project, Construction of Ar Rass Solar PV 380kV Substation. The Project location is in Ar Rass, around 400km from Riyadh.
Twelve bidders has submitted the proposals. German based construction firm. Siemens Company has submitted the lowest bid.
Siemens submitted the price of SAR 256,781,800 (USD 68,475,146)
The proposed substation will be interconnected to the proposed Renewable Energy (Solar) Power Plant at Ar Rass.

Project scope of work also includes the providing of 132/33kV, 80/100MVA Power Transformers at Zulfi Substation.
The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new substation work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
Contractor needs to achieve the final acceptance of the works by 25 months from Contract Signing Date.
