Following are the major projects awarded during the month of July 2020 across gulf countries. The projects covers the Power, Water, Construction and Oil & Gas Sectors.
Oman awarded the contracts of $121.7 million for Flood Protection Dam Projects
Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources, Oman awarded the following two flood protection dam projects:
- Construction of a Flood Protection Dam at Wadi Adawnib (A1B) in Wilayat Salalah – Dhofar Governorate
- Construction of a Flood Protection Dam at Wadi Annar and River Training at Salalah Marine Port- Dhofar Governorate
The Total value of two awarded projects is OMR 46,827,955. (read more)

Galfar secures $28.6 million Pipeline Contract
Oman based Construction firm, Galfar Engineering & Contracting SAOG announced in a statement that, it has secured a contract related to Construction of Pipeline.
Doosan secures $58 million Supply Contract for Fujairah F3 Power Plant
Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction announced in a statement that, it has secured supply of key components for the Fujairah F3 Combined Cycle Power Plant in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The value of signed contract is approximately 70 billion won ($58 million) (read more)

Oman awarded $65.8 million 400kV Substation project
Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC) awarded the project for construction of new 400kV/132kV Al Jefnen Substation with associated Overhead transmission line.
The project has been awarded to Oman based construction firm, Oman National Engineering & Investment Company SAOG (ONEIC). (read more)

The Kuwait Company for Process Plant Construction & Contracting K.P.S.C. (KCPC) announced in a statement that, it has secured Housing Project works contract.
The value of contract is KWD 4.39 million (read more).
Oman awarded $25 million 400kV Manah Substation
Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC) awarded the project for construction of new 400kV Manah Grid station with associated Overhead transmission line.
The Project has been awarded to Joint Venture of Trade Links & Services (TLS) / Civil Contracting Co. (CIVILCO) LLC, Oman based construction firms. (read more)

Red Sea Development Company (TRSDC), announced in a statement, the awarding of its largest value contract to date for airside infrastructure works for the destination’s international airport.
The contract was awarded to a joint venture between Saudi contractors Nesma & Partners Contracting Co. Ltd (a subsidiary of NESMA Holding) and Almabani General Contractors. (read more)

NPCC secures $16.2 million contract for 380kV Transmission line at Al Aseelh
Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) awarded the project “Construction of 380kV Transmission line for interconnection of Al Aseelh (ASL) 380/132/13.8kV BSP with the network”
The project has been awarded to Pakistan based construction company, National Power Construction Corporation (NPCC). (read more)

UAE’s TAQA awards $245 million Recycled Water Distribution Projects
Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) announced, in a statement, that its subsidiary, Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC), awarded two projects to expand its recycled water distribution program. The vale of the project is AED 900 million. (read more)

Qiddiya awards $186.6 million roads and bridges contract
Saudi Arabia’s Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) announced in a statement, the awarding of the project related to construction of stormwater drainage, roads and bridges. The value of signed contract is SAR 700 million. (read more)

Target Engineering secured $53.3 million contract from Saudi Aramco
Target Engineering Construction Company, a subsidiary of UAE’s Arabtec Holding announced in a statement the awarding the project for replacement of five storage tanks at Ras Tanura Refinery.
The value of signed contract is SAR 200 million. The project has been awarded by Saudi Aramco. (read more)

UAE’s Modon Properties awarded $525.5 million projects for Riyadh City
UAE’s, Modon Properties (Modon), a subsidiary of ADQ in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority has awarded the infrastructure development contracts for phases three and four of Riyadh City South.

UAE awards World’s Largest Solar PV Power Plant, Al-Dhafra IPP
UAE’s The Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC), announced the award for the world’s largest solar power plant, 2000MW (2GW) Al-Dhafra Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Independent Power Producer (IPP)
The project was awarded to a consortium led by Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) and Masdar, with partners EDF and JinkoPower. (read more)
Jeddah Solar PV 110kV OHTL project awarded
Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) awarded the project, the Construction of 110kV Transmission line for interconnection of Jeddah Solar PV Substation with the network.
The Project has been awarded to Saudi based Constrcution Company, Mohammed Al Ojaimi Establishment (Al Ojaimi). The value of signed contract is SAR 32,961,567. (read more)

Abu Dhabi’s Jubail Island Investment Company, JIIC, has awarded an interchange contract related to Jubail Island.
The project has been awarded to Gulf Contractors Company, GCC. The value of signed contract is AED86 million.(read more)

ACWA Power awards EPC contract for MBR Solar Park Phase 5
ACWA Power announced the awarding of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, MBR Solar Park, Phase 5.

Saudi Aramco awarded $80 million contract related to Ras Tanura Refinery works
Saudi Aramco awarded a contract for the execution on lump sum turn-key basis of a new Sour Water Stripper unit for the Ras Tanura Refinery, located in the eastern coast of Saudi Arabia.
The project has been awarded to Spanish based oil & gas firm, Técnicas Reunidas (TR). (read more)
