Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) awarded the project “Installation of 380kV reactors at Madain Substation”. The Project location is in Al Ula, Northern region of Saudi Arabia.
The project has been awarded to Saudi based construction Company, National Contracting Company (NCC).
The value of signed contract is SAR 25,720,000.
Earlier, during March 2020, a total of five companies has submitted the proposals to SEC. (read more)
Installation of 380kV reactors at Al Ula:
Project scope of work involves the installation of two (2) 380kV Bus connected Reactors at the existing Madain BSP.
It includes protection, control, communication and SAS/SCADA systems. The BSP shall be equipped with IEC 61850 standards based technically and economically optimized Substation Automation System (SAS) and will be remotely controlled from the SEC Power Control Center (PCC) through SCADA and Communication.
Major equipment includes two (2) 380kV, 60MVAR Bus connected Reactors, two (2) 380kV Hybrid GIS, modification on AC/DC, LV auxiliary supply, protection, metering, control SCADA & telecommunication, civil and electromechanical works.
The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of substation works in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
Contractor need to achieve the final acceptance of the work within 17 months from the date of contract signed.
