Kuwait receives the lowest bid of $116.8 million for Water Pipeline project

Ministry of Electricity & Water (MEW), Kuwait announces the bid results for the project “Construction of Fresh Water Pipeline from Mina Abdullah Distribution Complex to West Funaitees Complex and Azzour Distribution Complex”.

A total of eleven bidders has submitted the proposal. Kuwait based construction company, Copri Construction Enterprises W.L.L. (Copri) has submitted the lowest bid.

Copri has submitted the price of KWD 35,778,520.116 (1 KWD = 3.26690 USD).

Project scope of work involves the supply, installation construction, testing and commissioning of the pipelines with necessary valves and appurtenances of two numbers 1600mm D.I. fresh water pipeline from Mina Abdullah Water Ditribution Complex to West Funaitees in Kuwait.

The scope of work also involves the main pipeline 1200mm from Mina Abdullah WDC to Azzour WDC.

Estimated quantity of pipes will be used for this project are as follows:

  • Pipe of 1600mm diameter : 58560m
  • Pipe of 1400mm diameter: 160m
  • Pipe of 1200mm diameter: 35600m
  • Pipe of 1000mm diameter: 60m

The period of contract shall be thirty-six (36) months starting after the mobilization period, which will be during 90 days from signing the contract.
