Bahrain awarded a contract of $20.4 million for the supply of Power Cables

Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) Bahrain, awarded a contract for the supply of Low voltage Power Cables.

0.6/1 kV, Size 240 Sq.mm Contract:

The total value of the contract was BHD 6,067,656. The contract has been awarded to following two companies:

0.6/1 KV, Size 1000 Sq.mm Contract

The total value of the contract was BHD 1,607,472. The contract has been awarded to following two companies:

Project Description:

Earlier, During October 2019, Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) invited the qualified bidders to submit the proposals.

0.6/1 kV, Size 240 Sq.mm:

0.6/1 kV, 4 Core, 61 Strands, Underground Power Cable, Compacted Sector Shaped Aluminium Conductor, XLPE/SWA/PVC.

The size of the cable is 240 Sq. mm. Cable On Drum to be one continuous length of 250m.

The total quantity specified by the tender documents as follow:

Buffer Quantity: 170,000m and Forecasted Quantity: 1,512,000m

0.6/1 kV, Size 1000 Sq.mm

Underground Power cable, 0.6/1kV, 1 Core, Stranded Annealed Circular Copper Conductor, XLPE Insulated Black PVC (TYPE 9) over sheath

 The size of the cable is 1000 Sq.mm. Cable on Drum to be one continuous length of 500m

The total quantity specified by the tender documents as follow:

Forecasted Quantity:72,000m and Buffer Quantity : 8,000m
