Saudi Aramco issued a letter of award for the project “Tanajib Independent Water Steam Power Producer (IWSPP)”.
The awarding letter issued to the consortium of Japan’s Marubeni Corporation and the UAE’s Taqa.
The location of project is in Tanajib area, 20 km west of the existing onshore Tanajib GOSP facility in eastern region of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Earlier, during September 2019, Saudi Aramco receives a total of four bids for the project.
Following are the expected outputs/capacities of the project:
- Power Plant : 1,000 MW to 1,100 MW
- Steam: 1,152 to 3,054 kilo pounds an hour
- Water: 24,000 cubic meters a day (cm/d)
Major Equipment of the project includes Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Generator, HRSG and Air Cooled Condenser.
The electrical facilities for the project will be fed by 380kV Substation, Tanajib 380kV BSP, which is also part of this project.
Tanajib 380kV BSP will be fed by Saudi Electriciy Company (SEC)’s Marjan 380kV BSP. SEC already awarded the Marjan 380kV BSP project to Contractor.(read more)
The overall duration of the Tanajib IWSPP project will be 43 months.
