Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) awarded the project “Construction of a Double Circuit 132kV Overhead Transmission Line for New Al-Aflaj Substation 8766” in Al-Kharaj Area”.
The project location is in Al-Aflaj, Central Region of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The project has been awarded to Saudi based construction company, Mastoura for Trading & Contracting Co. Ltd., (Mastoura).
The value of signed contract is SAR 9,389,726.
Earlier, during November 2019, a total of eight bidders had submitted the proposals to SEC.
Aflaj 132kV Transmission line:
The project scope of work includes the construction of new 132kV Double Circuit, three phases, vertical configuration, (1X402 Sq.mm mm) ACSR “CONDOR” single conductor per phase overhead transmission line.
The Transmission line will be constructed on the new Unified HV Latticed Steel Towers by looping (in/out) one circuit of the authorized OHL 8760-8765 at cutting point, along with necessary duct banks, hand holes & trenches for power cables as well as for Non-metallic Fiber Optical Cable.
The entire overhead transmission lines shall be shielded with Two (2) composite Optical Overhead Ground Wire (OPGW) from gantry structure near Al Aflaj S/S-8766 up to Cutting Point of Existing OHTL 8760-8765 Substations.
Approximate route length of Overhead Transmission line is 4.5 km
Project Scope of Work also includes construction of new terminal compound with two 132kV underground cable circuits along with Two (2) underground Fiber optic cables.
Approximate route length of 132kV Cable is 1 km
The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
