Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) awarded the project “Construction of New Mansouriyah 110/13.8kV Substation”.
The location of the project is in Makkah area, western region of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The project has been awarded to Saudi based Construction Company, Mohammed Al Ojaimi Establishment (Al Ojaimi).
The value of Signed contract is SAR 57,909,096.
Earlier, During July 2019, a total of nine bidders was submitted their proposals to SEC.
Al Mansoriyah 110/13.8 kV Substation:
Mansoriyah 110/13.8 kV Substation involves the construction a new indoor 110/13.8 kV Gas Insulated Substation, arranged in double bus single breaker configuration.
The Substation shall be equipped with IEC 61850 standards based technically and economically optimized Substation Automation System (SAS) and will be remotely controlled from the SEC’s Power Control Center (PCC) through SCADA and Communication.
The project scope of work includes the following major material:
- 110kV Gas Insulated Switchgear
- 50/67MVA, 110/13.8kV Power Transformers
- 13.8kV Switchgear
- 13.8kV, 7MVAr Capacitor Bank
- 500kVA, 13.8kV/400-230V Station Service Transformers
- MV Power Cables and Terminations
- AC/DC Auxiliary Power Supply
- Control/Protection System
- Substation Automation System (SAS)
- Communication System
- Fire Detection/Alarm and Safety and Fire Protection System
- Civil/Structural works and Mechanical works
Project scope of Work also includes, additions/modifications of Protection & Control System at remote end Substations, Makkah West BSP, Jabal Omar and Rasifah Substations.
The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new substation work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
Contractor need to achieve the final acceptance of the work with in 25 months from the date of Contract award.
